Yuri Zvezdkin

1928 - 1994

Yuri A. Zvezdkin was born in Moscow in 1928.

He began his studies at the Moscow Intermediate Art School, which concluded in 1948.
From 1948 to 1951 he studied painting at the Repin Institute.
He began attending the Surikov Institute in 1951 and graduated in 1954. While at the Surikov he studied under such famous Professors as P.I. Kotov, V.G. Tsyplakov, and V.K. Nechitalio.

Zvezdkin was active in Novosibirsk from 1954 to 1957. He also made trips to the Volga and Kama to paint his landscapes.

Works can be found in museums and private collections in Russia and abroad, such as Germany, Sweden, Italy, and the USA.
