Serafima Ryangina
1891 - 1955
Born in St. Petersburg.
She trained under Dmitry Kardovsky at the St Petersburg Academy of Arts (1912-18 and 1921-23).
Moved to Moscow following her training and lived there the rest of her life.
Ryangina was a Member of The Association of Artists of Revolutionary Russia (AKHRR) from 1924.
She was designated an Honored Artist of Russia in 1955.
